a bit about me:

My name is Danielle and I love telling stories (and quilting, when I have time). I came to the D.C. area by way of small-town Illinois, the Big Apple, and California's bountiful Central Valley.

Right now, I write about politics and government, shining light in the halls of power. In the past, I've covered education and criminal justice.

I live in suburban Maryland with my husband, where we enjoy restoring our never-renovated 60s bungalow and cooking up delicious South Indian dishes. On summer weekends, I step up to bat with the Metropolitan Media Softball League's Pink Slips team.
